Adam Brian Simpson

Adam has 22 years experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Until starting this enterprise, Adam worked for a large charity in East Yorkshire where he held the post of registered manager of the respite and domiciliary services for 3 years, working with service users who had autism and challenging behaviours. Prior that Adam has worked within other residential services including working with clients with Prader Willi syndrome; Adam also has experience of working in day services.

Shelby Johnson

Shelby joined the company in 2013 as an apprentice. 

Karen Simpson

  • Assessors Award A1 & A2
  • Management Development Award

Karen has 16 years experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities. Karen, prior to setting up Adka independence, had worked as a deputy manager of a residential service for a national organisation, and before that with a large charity in East Yorkshire working with service users with autism and challenging behaviour.

Wayne Naylor

Wayne has 21 years experience working with people with a learning difficulty and was previously manager of various locations with a large local charity.
